Dr. Marc J. Levine, MD specializes in orthopedic spine surgery in Hamilton, NJ and has over 20 years of experience in the field of spine surgery and medicine. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University with his medical degree. He operates at numerous hospitals in New Jersey, including outpatient surgical centers. Dr. Marc J. Levine is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) and licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In addition, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS).

Dr. Levine serves as a clinical assistant professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He is the Director of the Orthopedic Spine Surgery Program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton, where he also serves as Director of the Orthopedic and Spine Institute. He also serves as the 51st President of the Eastern Orthopedic Association, which includes orthopedic surgeons from Maine to Florida. In addition, Marc J. Levine, M.D. was the 227th President of the Medical Society of New Jersey (MSNJ), the nation’s oldest medical society, founded in 1766.

Dr. Levine completed his internship in general surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation’s oldest hospital. After which, he completed his orthopedic surgical residency at the world-renowned Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and a spine surgery fellowship at The Emory University Spine Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Levine is recognized as a top medical doctor. Dr. Levine continues to author published research papers regarding spine surgery, which focus on using surgical techniques that provide the best outcomes.

NJBiz named Dr. Levine one of its’ Healthcare Power of 50 for 2020. Since the onset of the Covid Crisis, Dr. Levine was chosen by the Commissioner of Health and The Office of the New Jersey Governor to serve on the Covid-19 Professional Advisory Committee, which helped guide New Jersey policy to overcome the Covid-19 health crisis.

Dr. Levine continues to lecture on a national basis and chairs spine program meetings that have international attendance. Since 2017, Dr. Levine has served as the Spine Program Chair for the annual Orthopedic Summit and Evolving Techniques (OSET).

Dr. Levine emphasizes getting an exact diagnosis prior to beginning treatment or considering surgery.
